THE VCB/LIONS PARTNERSHIP
Lions and VCB have been linked since 1951 when the camp, which was incorporated in 1926, moved to Rockland County. The Spring Valley Lions Club was our first supporter and was honored with our 2006 John Twohie Volunteers of the Year Award. Over 250 Lions, Lioness and Leo Clubs from MD-20 have provided financial and volunteer support. With your help, the 35-acre VCB facility continues to provide respite, rehabilitation and recreation for 600 blind children, teens, adults and seniors each year.

HIGHLIGHT OF LIONS INVOLVEMENT WITH VCB
You participate each year in our Lions Work Weekends, and on Family and Lions Recognition Day, the first Sunday in August. You support our Lions VCB Golf Outing. We hope you will once again help us find corporate sponsors and hole sponsors.

You donate money raised through your club special events and district walk-a-thons. You purchase engraved bricks ($100 each), chairs ($500 each) and benches ($1,000) at VCB. You make financial contributions for "camperships" throughout the year, enabling VCB to continue its open-door policy of never turning away a camper due to inability to pay the full cost ($1,100 per camper for an 11-night/12-day stay).

You collect, donate and deliver items from our "VCB Wish List." You help maintain the 45 buildings at VCB through the "Adopt-A-Building" program. Your consistent and generous involvement has made dreams come true for hundreds of campers.

CLUB PRESENTATIONS
We would be happy to send a staff member to make a presentation to your club if you are located in Downstate New York. We will send a DVD to any Club. It makes a great program.

VISIONS AND VACATION CAMP FOR THE BLIND
Vacation Camp for the Blind is owned and operated by VISIONS/Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired, a not-for-profit 501 (c) 3 agency with headquarters at 500 Greenwich Street, 3rd Floor, New York, NY 10013. Our toll free number is 1-888-245-8333. VISIONS is proud to have 7 Lions, including 3 PDG, serving on the agency's Board of Directors. Overall, the agency is proud to share its accomplishment of 88% of our annual expenses spent on programs services with only 12% spent on administration and fund raising.
